Time and again, we receive questions regarding the water quality of the Lipno Reservoir. This is particularly due to the dark, iron-tinted color of the water, which many tourists are not used to. What many people do not know is the fact that the reservoir is tested and evaluated annually with regard to water quality by the European Environment Agency.

There are also rumors circulating that the water is dangerous for pets. However, the investigation conducted so far has not revealed any facts on the basis of which it could be concluded that the deaths of the dogs occurred as a result of poisoning from the Lipno Reservoir.
